AbsorGel® Hanging is a container desiccant bag based on the proven ability of calcium chloride. Calcium chloride absorbs moisture from the air and is bound into a gel.
The desiccant starts working as soon as it is removed from its sealed packaging. This container desiccant can hang vertically within the recess of container side panels. It is easy to install and remove thanks to the AbsorHook System.
AbsorGel® Hanging can be also installed horizontally for high cargo.

How AbsorGel® Hanging works
AbsorGel® Hanging is easy to install and remove with our AbsorHook™ System. No ladder is needed and you will save time, effort and money. It can hang within the corrugated recess of container side panels. The calcium chloride absorbs moisture from the surrounding air that passes through the outer breathable packaging material. AbsorGel® Hanging’s viscous gel ensures absorbed moisture stays in the product. AbsorGel® Hanging is fitted with a AbsorHook™ and adhesive pads to keep it securely in place. Absorgel Hanging can be used for any type of cargo and only needs 25 mm between the cargo and the AbsorGel® Hanging. It works in all type of containers.
Generally, 4 – 6 strips are required for 20-foot containers carrying dry goods and 8 – 10 strips when hold moist goods, for a 40-foot container use 8 – 12 and 16 – 20 strips respectively. The number may vary depending on the length of the voyage, the range of temperatures encountered and the type of cargo protected.
