What is a Spill Kit?

A spill kit is a collection of absorbent materials and safety equipment designed to help contain, absorb, and safely dispose of liquid spills within your business. Different spill kits and accessories are available depending on the type of liquid being handled, the scale of the clean up and the needs of the environment. If you are handling chemicals, you will need a special chemical spill kit.

Spill kit bins

Spill kit bins are an essential part of any spill kit, providing a safe way to store the materials needed to dispose of the liquid and clean the spill. These bins are bright yellow to ensure they are highly visible and should be placed in an easy to access location. They are ideal for warehouses, factories, workshops and industrial facilities where liquids are stored or handled.

Spill kit bins are available in a variety of different sizes and capacities, but there are two styles to choose from:

• Wheeled bins: Our wheeled bins are typically larger and designed for bigger commercial or industrial spaces. Our range of wheeled spill kit bins starts from 120 litre capacity and goes up to 1000 litre capacity. The wheeled options are also available with a drop front opening for easy access.
• Static bins: Our static bins are designed to fit in smaller spaces like corridors or vehicles and have a capacity of 80 litres, making them the perfect choice for smaller areas next to machinery, storage areas or liquid handling stations

Maintenance Spill Kits

Maintenance spill kits, also known as general purpose spill kits, are designed to absorb everyday non-toxic hazardous liquids including oils, coolants, solvents, detergents and water-based fluids. They are commonly identified by grey absorbents and can be used in a variety of environments including workspaces, warehouses and factories.

Our maintenance spill kits are available in a variety of sizes and styles to suit the needs of your environment and liquids. For smaller spaces, opt for a static spill kit bin or if you’re on the go, a maintenance spill kit bag works best.

Spill Kit Granules

Spill kit granules are highly absorbent materials designed to quickly soak up liquid spills and improve safety in the workplace. Commonly used for oils, fuels, chemicals and water-based liquids, absorbent granules help contain spills before they spread.

Our spill kit granules are manufactured from 100% natural UK mined clay and are suitable for all non-aggressive spills. The granules are designed to quickly absorb the liquid before being swept up for easy disposal. The quick and easy nature of the granules makes them ideal for spaces where spills may happen frequently, such as workshops, warehouses or garages.
