ITP Packaging achieves two ISO standards

ITP Packaging has gained the confirmation of two ISO standards for its business: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

These standards demonstrate our commitment to quality, sustainability, and dedication to ethical business practices.

Since 2013, our company goals have included being a reliable supplier and partner for others in the supply chain, and these latest accreditations are vital steps on that journey towards bigger and better.

What do these ISO standards mean?

ISO standards cover a wide array of business standards and practices, and many that apply to one business won’t be relevant to another.

For us, these two standards demonstrate some vital assurances:

ISO 9001:2015 is a quality management standard. Organisations that meet it demonstrate the consistent ability to provide quality products, support customer satisfaction, and meet applicable regulatory requirements.

ISO 14001:2015 is an environmental management standard. While it doesn’t set out specific performance requirements, it does standardise guidelines for successful systems that allow organisations to manage environmental performance.

Our Director, James Gwynne, was thrilled to achieve these standards:

“Achieving both our ISO 9001 and 14001 shows our dedication to providing our customers and employees with high standards,” he said. “Being able to demonstrate that we take quality management seriously was a key factor in working toward the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

“Likewise, as we work toward being carbon-neutral, achieving ISO 14001:2015 was one of the many steps along that path. I’m very proud of what the team has achieved in reaching these standards and how they represent our business.”

Given our goal of achieving these standards by 2022, the accomplishment is not only very welcome, but the realisation of a big part of our aspirations.

What can customers take away from this?

These standards prove more than just high quality and great customer service.

In reaching these standards we demonstrate a commitment to our employees, working practices, monitoring performance, traceability, and the environment to name but a few key areas in which we strive to be transparent and ethical.

By supporting ITP Packaging, its customers are also supporting a commitment to our suppliers, community, our industry prospects, and other interested parties.

These standards allow our customers to make more informed choices and choose the best business to work alongside them.

Offsetting our carbon emissions is a huge challenge for individuals and businesses across the globe, especially in areas concerned with transit. By doing our part as best we can and striving to always to improve, these challenges shrink every day.
